Way to go Texas!! We all need to follow their example. Find a way to help in your state or community on a local level.
February 29, 2012:
A little over a month ago the City Manager’s Office determined that it was best for us to not renew our membership with ICLEI when that membership came due later this spring.
As of today, I have sent a letter notifying ICLEI that the City of College Station will not be renewing its membership nor taking part in its programs in 2012 and beyond. Furthermore, I asked that ICLEI immediately cancel our membership (if it is even still active), and remove the City of College Station and its officers from any and all ICLEI rosters, publications, and websites.

Here we go again. This continues to be another way the government is trying to control us and take away our rights. I am so sick of this BIG government trying to control our every move in their urge to create some perfect world they envision in their warped minds.
This country was founded on the basis of individual liberty and day by day our government is trying to take away that liberty. We need to wake up and start fighting against these absurd controls and regulations the government is forcing on us. We need to help get these laws changed. They work for us. We don’t work for them.
Check out this article from the Canadian Free Press:
The U.N. has deemed commercial agriculture unsustainable and has used taxpayer dollars and local supervisors to re-zone, re-shape, and prohibit land use for local agriculture or building that is not approved by their bio-diversity plan of limiting human habitation – all in the name of saving the planet.
Our planet does not need saving, Mother Earth is doing fine. The problem lies with progressive humans in positions of power who want to control everything we do while they line their pockets with our hard-earned taxpayer dollars.
Unfair regulatory actions against Martha Boneta, a farmer in Fauquier County, Virginia, “violate fundamental rights and unfairly restrict her property rights.” Delegate L. Scott Lingamfelter (R-Woodbridge/31st district) plans to strengthen Virginia’s Right to Farm Act and to “protect farmers against future encroachments by local government.”

Here is a detailed presentation on what is really in Agenda 21 and the sustainable development movement as defined by the UN. How it will ultimately compromise your property rights..
Regarding Ms. Bruntdland: Some have suggested she is merely a Democrat and I am way off base. First off, Norway does not have a Democratic Party, but rather Socialist democrats. Hopefully there is a difference. Internet research can be a challenge, so I respect those who engage in it! However, check out the XX Congress of the Socialist International in NY. Gro was the first VP of the Socialist International whose goal is to interact with labour, social democrats and socialists worldwide to spread the socialist concept of democracy. It is quite possible to be member of the Democratic Party and a Socialist at the same time. It is members like Gro whose desire it is to move the Democratic party more toward the Social Democratic Party.
I also want to thank “6or8pack” for pointing out my error in mentioning that Betty Perry’s nose was injured by handcuffs. In fact, she slipped during her interaction with officers and hit her nose on the steps. Betty was aware of local ordinances, but chose to ignore them. This landed her in the holding pen. This error is mine.
Some have suggested they have “read Agenda 21 ” and there is nothing dangerous in the book and besides, the document has no power to override their Constitutional right to own and control private property.
To read the book alone, without reading the preceeding and following documentation and activites would be somewhat like looking at a map of Brazil and feeling you now know how Brazilians think and feel.
The name A21 refers not only to the actual book, but to the entire sustainable development movement as defined by the United Nations dating back to the 1970′s through today. That is why it is important to not only listen to the entire video, but research on your own to gain more information. Since this presentation was completed vast new volumes of information have been compiled. Check the sources in the back of the presentation and the United Nation’s own websites to draw your own conclusions.
Thanks for viewing the video and for your observations. John

I can’t stress enough how important it is to get involved on a local level to stop Agenda 21. Please do your own research on this. You can go to sustainabledevelopment.un.org. This is one of the most dangerous things being implemented in our country now. Many local groups are getting involved in various states to try to stop Agenda 21 and ICLEI. Please read this article and then search for “Agenda 21″ and you will find a lot of information that will help you understand how dangerous this is. The UN has wiped many of their links to make it harder to do research, but I found a lot of information. I’ll be posting more of it on my blog here and my website, Agenda 21 For Your Consideration.
(This article is from The Economic Collapse Blog, December 23, 2012.)
Even if you have your mortgage completely paid off, that doesn’t mean that you really “own” your property. If you don’t pay your taxes and obey the “codes”, you could lose your property very rapidly.
The philosophy behind all of this is the same philosophy behind Agenda 21. The elite believe that you cannot be trusted to do the “right thing” with your own property and that your activity must be “managed” for the greater good. They believe that by controlling you and restricting your liberties that they are “saving the planet”.
Unfortunately, you can probably expect this to get a whole lot worse in the years ahead. Our society is shifting from one that cherishes individual liberties and freedoms to one that is fully embracing collectivism. So our politicians will likely be making even more of our decisions for us as the years move forward.
Yesterday I attended my first protest rally. It was called “Occupy the EPA”/“Give Red Tape a Rest” rally. Going to a rally and holding a sign while calling out to passing cars is completely new to me, but totally worth it. I’ve been reading and hearing more and more about the overreach of the EPA and how it is slowly finding more and more ways of gaining unlimited control over our way of life. They have too much power with no oversight and that is one of the reasons I decided I had to join Americans for Prosperity-Colorado in protesting the Environmental Protection Agency-organized mining conference in Denver. EPA officials were meeting here for a conference on hard-rock mining.
I have come to agree with AFP-CO which believes “the agency’s rogue regulators and biased scientists are destroying jobs, driving-up energy costs, crippling America’s competitiveness and contributing to the country’s economic crisis.”
According to AFP-CO:
Recent rules targeting coal-fired power plants are the latest in a long list of EPA regulatory excesses, according to AFP-CO, which will cost Coloradans jobs and contribute to already-skyrocketing energy costs. The agency relies on biased, agenda-driven “science” and “scientists” to bolster its actions, the group says, pointing to the shoddy work the agency did investigating alleged water well contamination in Pavillion, Wyoming — as well as the agency’s decision to provide a prime speaking spot at the April 4 conference to Boulder-based Stratus Consulting, a hired gun for extreme environmental groups that has been implicated in a scheme to use shady science to rig a favorable ruling in a lawsuit in South America.
About 50-75 people showed up for to protest the red tape the EPA is using to make it tougher for businesses to get approval they need to comply with the crazy regulations and guidelines they keep adding for the supposed purpose of protecting the environment. We wanted people to know about how red tape and government overreach is restraining businesses to the cost of higher energy rates for everyone and the loss of jobs for many. Most of the time lately, this comes at the expense of small businesses being unable to afford the cost of implementing procedures to meet EPA regulations. Large businesses end up passing the cost onto the consumer which means the cost of gas, electricity, natural gas, etc. is passed on to people like you and I. What’s worse is that these businesses have no recourse but to pay the money and comply or go out of business.
The reason for our protest had a more personal context to those of us here in Denver. Colorado is a big mining state and we have great resources for hydraulic fracturing (fracking).
[...]The EPA is expected to issue new rules on fracking April 17, which critics fear will increase the regulatory burden on the natural-gas industry and drive up energy prices.
[...]The fracking rules come just weeks after the EPA proposed further limits on newly built coal-fire plants. Protestors said they worry that the Obama administration is trying to circumvent the coal industry in favor of natural gas and renewable energy.
Read her article about the protest here.
Lucky for me there are groups like AFP-Colorado that make it easy for people like me to get involved in making a difference.
At the main website for Americans for Prosperity it says“AFP is an organization of grassroots leaders who engage citizens in the name of limited government and free markets on the local, state, and federal levels. The grassroots activists of AFP advocate for public policies that champion the principles of entrepreneurship and fiscal and regulatory restraint.”
If you want to become more involved in standing up for limited government and getting back to the freedoms we’ve been used to as free American Citizens then check out Americans for Prosperity and click on your state to see what’s going on in your area. It’s really helped me to feel as though I have a voice where I can go and participate in events that are done here in my state and city. Check it out. Find your voice!!
Now if we could only reach the common sense of all the other mayors. The propaganda has just been too good for Agenda 21. Oh, and most people have never heard of Agenda 21. I hadn’t heard of it until just a few months ago. Check out my other posts about Agenda 21 on this blog.
The city of Irving, Texas has officially withdrawn its membership from ICLEI — the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives. This NGO was established in 1990 and is the action division of the policies laid out under the UN’s Agenda 21 plan — the globalist initiative to usher in a post-industrial world for the 21st century through the creation of local laws and requirements for city planning that essentially erase personal property rights and even steal land under a “sustainable” umbrella.
On ICLEI’s own website (under the “Programs” section), they state, “Our campaigns, programs, and projects promote Local Agenda 21 as a participatory, long-term, strategic planning process that addresses local sustainability while protecting global common goods.” Cities pay dues in order to obtain direction from ICLEI in establishing local policy and law. This is a violation of the Constitution, Article 1, Section 10: “No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance or Confederation…” ICLEI receives funding by the David Rockefeller Fund, United States EPA, etc. ICLEI targets mayors — in the ‘Cool Mayor‘ program, and other local officials to implement Agenda 21. I found this article at The Foundry . It explains Agenda 21 in a way that is easy to relate to. I put a bit of his article in here for you all to see. I’ve updated it since I first posted it and took some things off of here, so you can check out the link yourself. Let me know what you think:
Morning Bell: Agenda 21 and the Threat in Your Backyard- From The Foundry
Mike Brownfield December 5, 2011 at 9:51 am
Ready to trade in your car for a bike, or maybe a subway instead? Interested in fewer choices for your home, paying more for housing, and being crammed into a denser neighborhood? You can have all this and more if radical environmentalists and “smart growth” advocates have their way and local, state, and the federal government impose the policies set forth in the United Nations’ Agenda 21.
You might have heard of this nefarious-sounding policy in a recent Republican presidential debate, but even if you haven’t, here’s some background information: Agenda 21 is a voluntary plan adopted at the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development. It calls on governments to intervene and regulate nearly every potential impact that human activity could have on the environment. The end goal? Getting governments to “rethink economic development and find ways to halt the destruction of irreplaceable natural resources and pollution of the planet.”
As adopted, Agenda 21 was described as “a comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations System, Governments, and Major Groups in every area in which human impacts on the environment.” That includes hundreds of specific goals and strategies that national and local governments are encouraged to adopt. And that translates into restrictive zoning policies that are aimed at deterring suburban growth. Ultimately, they suppress housing supply and drive up home prices, in turn imposing unnecessary costs, especially on middle- and lower-income households. These policies contributed to and aggravate the real estate bubble by putting inflationary pressures on housing prices.

This article is really good. I know this article is from July 31st of last year, but it still affects us. It’s unbelievable the way they want to change the types of Drivers Licenses to Commercial Drivers Licenses. This is nuts. My mom learned to drive on her family farm. She drove the farm truck all over the farm before she was even old enough to legally drive. I believe she and her brothers also were able to use the farm equipment to help my Grandfather get the work done on time. Changing this law is insane. Farmers will have to spend thousands of dollars to meet regulatory rules that help no one. When the farmer loses their land, the government grabs it and soon no one will own private farms anymore. Give the article from TheBlaze.com a look and tell me what you think about it.
AGENDA 21 UPDATE: FAMILY FARMS ARE UNDER ATTACKFrom TheBlaze.comPosted on July 31, 2011 at 1:07pm by Mike OpelkaIs the US government starting to implement the policies of the United Nation’s plan for global management of people and resources known as Agenda 21? The latest efforts out of the Department of Transportation (DOT) seem to indicate this is happening. And they are starting by targeting America’s farming communities with costly and oppressive regulations.
In Late May, the DOT proposed a rule change for farm equipment, and if it this allowed to take effect, it will place significant regulatory pressure on small farms and family farms all across America – costing them thousands of dollars and possibly forcing many of them out of business. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), part of the Department of Transportation (DOT), wants new standards that would require all farmers and everyone on the farm to obtain a CDL (Commercial Drivers License) in order to operate any farming equipment. The agency is going to accomplish this by reclassifying all farm vehicles and implements as Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs).
(It is also important to note here that DOT Secretary Ray LaHood holds a seat on the newly created White House Rural Council. A powerful group whose members have ties to George Soros and The Center For American Progress.)
