Lowry Calls Out Alan Colmes for Mocking Death of Santorum’s Baby | Video | TheBlaze.com
I got this story from The Blaze, but it’s certainly not the only place I saw it today. I couldn’t remain silent on this anymore. It was so repulsive, I had to comment.
Okay, I’ll be honest and say I couldn’t bring myself to watch the video. It hits a little too close to home for me. If my daughter had not been stillborn, but had been born alive and then died, I think the loss would have been even worse than it was. It would have been easier to take her home and show her to the boys and let them hold her and then have the funeral than it was to hand her over to a total stranger and then not see her again until she was brought to the church by the funeral home. I wish the boys had seen her the way my husband and I were able to see her, before the funeral home dressed her and tried to do her make up. They did the best job they could, but she looked completely different because her little body did not hold up well for the funeral. My boys still thought she was beautiful, but how much better would it have been if they could have held her? I know why the Santorum’s took their baby home and I envy them the opportunity. This only makes me admire Rick Santorum more. Anyone who mocks him or makes his actions seem less than they actually were is not deserving of mine or anyone else’s respect. Alan Colmes is despicable to talk about this in any way. Each couple handles this type of situation differently and no one has the right to judge the way anyone else deals with their loss.
Here’s the Alan Colmes, Rich Lowry video from Monday:

I can’t get the video to show up here, so please click on the above link to see it. Below I have Rick Santorum tonight on Hannity talking about the apology he received from Alan Colmes. He also talks a bit about why the family did what they did with the baby. I for one need no explanation. Here is Rick Santorum, being the class act I have always felt he was and is:
If I could vote today, my vote would be for Rick Santorum. He has the values and principles I look for.
We can’t just vote for who we think can win. It’s the Primary. This is our choice to vote for who we really want. How can the Lord step in when we need him if we only vote for who we think can win, but they don’t reflect the principles and values we want in a leader? Why should He help if we don’t really look for what we need as a country? We need to find who we think would truly be best for our country and THEN ask the Lord to step in. He’ll do his part if we do ours.
That’s one of the things I learned from my Dad. That’s what makes me his LOUD daughter!!
