I’ve decided to share the article written by J. Christian Adams in Big Government.com because his writing is so much better than mine. Here are some excerpts from his article:
- The secular Leftists who control the White House were steamrolled last week by the Catholic Church, and they still don’t understand why. Obama’s requirement that church organizations provide contraception and abortifacients unleashed a mighty backlash from Jews, Catholics and Protestants. Leftists fancy themselves as champions of the First Amendment, but now we know that doesn’t include the free exercise of religion.
- The fight between American churches and Obama isn’t like the birth control debates of 1962. It isn’t a “war on contraception.” It echoes different fights from different years.
In 1941, when Adolph Hitler was at the peak of his power, the Catholic Church publicly challenged Hitler’s euthanasia program against the handicapped. Munster Bishop Clemens von Galen courageously delivered a series of sermons against the Gestapo, the closing of Catholic institutions, and most of all, the T-4 euthanasia program. Through the summer of 1941, von Galen waged a war of conscience against Hitler, in the open, and with the imprimatur of the Catholic Church.
Heinrich Himmler wanted von Galen dead, and sent the Gestapo to arrest him. The Bishop asked the Gestapo agents for a moment, and changed into his full bishop’s regalia – putting on his mitre, episcopal ring, pectoral cross, and carrying his crozier – then presented himself for arrest. The Gestapo agents promptly left without him, and von Galen spent the remainder of the war alive.
Earlier, in 1933, Hitler intervened in the internal affairs of the German Protestant churches by forcing the church to conduct leadership elections. The corrupt elections resulted in the installation of pro-Nazi church officials who sapped the church’s moral authority. It was this government-caused division within the church that launched the resistance of Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He worked covertly to preserve “intact churches” as compared with the “destroyed churches” tainted by government interference in matters of conscience.
He continues with more interesting comparisons and examples of why President Obama was steamrolled by the Catholic church.

This is absolutely ridiculous. They can’t have my gun!! We have to vote him out, or we’ll have no constitution. He’s not only showed us how much he hates the constitution, he’s also said it. Our constitution exists because of great and faithful men and no way is some guy who happens to be president going to tell us he knows better than us poor hicks. I will hang on to my bible and my guns. That’s my right and he can’t take it, no matter how he tries to change the constitution. Wow, talk about government control. This is certainly not about crime. The more rights they control, the more they can take away. Well, guess what, my rights were given to me by my Creator and only He can take that away from me. Although our country has a president, he’s sure not our Creator. Maybe someday he’ll wake up and realize he’s not even an intelligent as our Creator. What an ego!!
Here’s some highlights from the article in Gateway Pundit that got me so worked up. I sure would love to hear what you think of the article once you go there after reading just these highlights.
- While 49 other states have ratified Concealed Carry laws, Illinois is diligently working to track and punish their own citizens for exercising their Constitutional rights. If Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has his way, gun owners will not only be tracked in the same manner as sex offenders, but will be slapped with a repeating $65 fee…for each gun.
- If gun owners cannot afford to pay the $65 fee for each gun they must turn their guns in to local law enforcement for destruction. Punishment for not complying is a Class 2 Felony. How unfortunate for the rest of the good people of Illinois to have the scourge of Chicago in their state. And this fresh on the heels of signing a check for $399,950 to the Second Amendment Foundation after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Chicago’s ban on handguns…because it was unconstitutional.
- At the CPAC on Friday, NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre had this warning…via The Washington Times,While delivering one of the liveliest and best-received speeches at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre said the president’s low-key approach to gun rights during his first term was “a “conspiracy to ensure re-election by lulling gun owners to sleep.”“We see the president’s strategy crystal clear: Get re-elected and, with no more elections to worry about, get busy dismantling and destroying our firearms’ freedom, erase the Second Amendment from the Bill of Rights and excise it from the U.S. Constitution.”
- Obama is a nightmare for the Second Amendment. He wants to make sure the government and criminals have guns…and the citizens don’t. You can’t have Marxism until you disarm the populace.
Wow, this just irritated me all over again. Go to Gateway Pundit and read the article. He explains it with much less rage than I do. Tell me what you think.

Ready to trade in your car for a bike, or maybe a subway instead? Interested in fewer choices for your home, paying more for housing, and being crammed into a denser neighborhood? You can have all this and more if radical environmentalists and “smart growth” advocates have their way and local, state, and the federal government impose the policies set forth in the United Nations’ Agenda 21.
You might have heard of this nefarious-sounding policy in a recent Republican presidential debate, but even if you haven’t, here’s some background information: Agenda 21 is a voluntary plan adopted at the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development. It calls on governments to intervene and regulate nearly every potential impact that human activity could have on the environment. The end goal? Getting governments to “rethink economic development and find ways to halt the destruction of irreplaceable natural resources and pollution of the planet.”
As adopted, Agenda 21 was described as “a comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations System, Governments, and Major Groups in every area in which human impacts on the environment.” That includes hundreds of specific goals and strategies that national and local governments are encouraged to adopt. And that translates into restrictive zoning policies that are aimed at deterring suburban growth. Ultimately, they suppress housing supply and drive up home prices, in turn imposing unnecessary costs, especially on middle- and lower-income households. These policies contributed to and aggravate the real estate bubble by putting inflationary pressures on housing prices.

This article is really good. I know this article is from July 31st of last year, but it still affects us. It’s unbelievable the way they want to change the types of Drivers Licenses to Commercial Drivers Licenses. This is nuts. My mom learned to drive on her family farm. She drove the farm truck all over the farm before she was even old enough to legally drive. I believe she and her brothers also were able to use the farm equipment to help my Grandfather get the work done on time. Changing this law is insane. Farmers will have to spend thousands of dollars to meet regulatory rules that help no one. When the farmer loses their land, the government grabs it and soon no one will own private farms anymore. Mike OpelkaIs the US government starting to implement the policies of the United Nation’s plan for global management of people and resources known as Agenda 21? The latest efforts out of the Department of Transportation (DOT) seem to indicate this is happening. And they are starting by targeting America’s farming communities with costly and oppressive regulations.
In Late May, the DOT proposed a rule change for farm equipment, and if it this allowed to take effect, it will place significant regulatory pressure on small farms and family farms all across America – costing them thousands of dollars and possibly forcing many of them out of business. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), part of the Department of Transportation (DOT), wants new standards that would require all farmers and everyone on the farm to obtain a CDL (Commercial Drivers License) in order to operate any farming equipment. The agency is going to accomplish this by reclassifying all farm vehicles and implements as Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs).
(It is also important to note here that DOT Secretary Ray LaHood holds a seat on the newly created White House Rural Council. A powerful group whose members have ties to George Soros and The Center For American Progress.)

Just what we need, a Nation that adopts Sustainable Development that is doomed to fail. This is socialism , that never works, along with sustainable development that’s unsustainable. You betcha, that’s what I want in my neighborhood. This would give the government even more administrative power. More regulations and less rights for us. I don’t want to be Europe.
Europe’s debt is so great there are riots in the streets. They want us to spend so much money on sustainable development, we can’t afford to live and pay taxes. Our tax money will go to pay off the deficit and the cost of this ‘sustainable’ development, and it will compromise the ability of future generations to meet their needs.
In the meantime, we lose our individual rights. Oh yeah, that sounds great! Maybe it won’t be so bad being like Europe. Oh wait, they suck!! Tell me what you think. The following are excerpts from a great article at Big Government.

Nations that adopt Sustainable Development are doomed to fail at meeting the needs of the present generation and through debt accumulation from deficit spending will consign future generations to a life as debt slaves.
Through the early 1980s, socialist Latin American economies powered growth by quadrupling their indebtedness from $75 billion to $315 billion. With aristocrats controlling government, while the poor had no voice in these loan matters, nor did they benefit from them as most of the loan proceeds were siphoned off to benefit the aristocrats and their crony amigos.
When Ronald Reagan was elected President in 1980, the U.S. economy had suffered a decade of stagflation, turning our Midwest manufacturing base into the Rust Belt. Reagan was determined to regain international economic dominance by reasserting our Founding Father’s demand for limited government and maximum personal liberty. Reagan viscerally believed what John Adams wrote:
the moment the idea is admitted into society, that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence
Reagan’s relentless focus overcame the bi-partisan drumbeat to continue the socialist expansion of the money supply to promote growth. He then leveraged monetary restraint with the largest income tax cut in American history to power the American economy to sustained growth with low inflation.

NEW WHITEBOARD VIDEO BLASTS OBAMA‘S ’ISLAMIST SYMPATHIES’

A new animated video created to accompany Andrew McCarthy’s new book “The Grand Jihad” highlights the dangers of Islamism, while explaining the history and overarching goals of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Middle East. Additionally, it alleges that the Obama administration has not adequately addressed — and has continued to ignore — the horrific potential associated with the group’s power siege.
“President Obama does not seem to see the problem,” the short film’s voice-over proclaims. ”The Obama policy of courting the Muslim Brotherhood has not changed the Brothers. It has empowered them to advance their anti-American program.”
The video then goes on to explain the radical group’s history, while exploring the breakdown of the Ottoman Empire and Sheikh Hasan Al Banna’s (an Egyptian) subsequent founding of the Brotherhood in 1928.
Al Banna, the video proclaims, hated the West, was anti-colonial, embraced Shariah law and was intent on seeing Islam dominate across national lines.

Some may already be familiar with the image featured above. For those who aren’t, it is painting titled “The Forgotten Man” which features President Obama trampling on the Constitution while an astonished James Madison pleads with him to stop. To the side, a man sits on a park bench in the throes of depression while 43 presidents look on. The painting, which uses discarded dollar bills and scraps of paper with individual constitutional amendments scrawled onto them.
The Blaze first reported on artist Jon McNaughton’s controversial rendition back in 2010 when the artwork was released. Now, however, McNauughton’s Forgotten Man has resurfaced and is making its rounds across the internet again after appearing on Rachel Maddow’s blog on Thursday.
In a video that accompanied The Forgotten Man’s release, the politically charged McNaughton revealed, “For a long time I didn’t know if I wanted to paint this picture, because I worried it might be too controversial.”
He explained that the man on the park bench “represents every man, woman, and child who is an American“ and who ”hopes to find the American dream of happiness and prosperity.” The artist added, “But now because of unconstitutional acts imposed on the American people by our government we stand on the precipice of disasters.”
The artists’ work can be found at McNaughton Fine Art (though the site appeared to be down, at least temporarily on Friday evening) and on his Facebook Page. A search of McNaughton’s postings on Facebook reveal a number of paintings with strong political and religious themes including another provocative work released in October 2011 titled “Wake Up America.” The image features Obama smiling on the stump while shackled Americans gather around him. Record 1.2 Million People Fall Out Of Labor Force In One Month, Labor Force Participation Rate Tumbles To Fresh 30 Year Low | ZeroHedge

A month ago, we joked when we said that for Obama to get the unemployment rate to negative by election time, all he has to do is to crush the labor force participation rate to about 55%. Looks like the good folks at the BLS heard us: it appears that the people not in the labor force exploded by an unprecedented record 1.2 million. No, that’s not a typo: 1.2 million people dropped out of the labor force in one month! So as the labor force increased from 153.9 million to 154.4 million, the non institutional population increased by 242.3 million meaning, those not in the labor force surged from 86.7 million to 87.9 million. Which means that the civilian labor force tumbled to a fresh 30 year low of 63.7% as the BLS is seriously planning on eliminating nearly half of the available labor pool from the unemployment calculation. As for the quality of jobs, as withholding taxes roll over Year over year, it can only mean that the US is replacing high paying FIRE jobs with low paying construction and manufacturing. So much for the improvement.

When I heard just the clips of President Obama from the Prayer Breakfast Speech, I wondered if anyone had the guts to walk out. I knew that just from what I had heard, I definitely would have walked out. Bravo to GOP Rep. Phil Gingrey for having the courage and strength of his convictions and actually walking out. Thank you Sir!
(The Hill) — Republican Rep. Phil Gingrey (Ga.) walked out of President Obama’s speech at the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, his spokeswoman confirmed to The Hill.
Jen Talaber said the five-term lawmaker “left quietly” in the middle of the president’s remarks.
“He was disturbed and offended by the president’s use of prayer and reflection time for partisan politics and class warfare,” Talaber said. “Rep. Gingrey enjoyed listening to the keynote speaker and found the breakfast to be inspiring until President Obama began politicking.”
At the breakfast, Obama tried to tie some of the proposals from his State of the Union address, such as everyone paying their fair share in taxes, to Biblical teachings.
“When I talk about our financial institutions playing by the same rules as folks on Main Street, when I talk about making sure insurance companies aren’t discriminating against those who are already sick, or making sure that unscrupulous lenders aren’t taking advantage of the most vulnerable among us, I do so because I genuinely believe it’ll make the economy stronger for everybody,” Obama said. “But I also do it because I know that far too many neighbors in our country have been hurt and treated unfairly over the last few years, and I believe in God’s command to love thy neighbor as thyself.”
Talaber said Gingrey listened to several minutes of the speech before he “slipped out” because he found the perceived politicking “inappropriate.”
“There are 364 other days a year in which to do that,” she said. “While he commends the president for his attendance, Rep. Gingrey wanted to hear what was in his heart and not campaign rhetoric. He was disappointed that the president seemed to be unaware of the reason so many gathered there today.”
