NEW WHITEBOARD VIDEO BLASTS OBAMA‘S ’ISLAMIST SYMPATHIES’

A new animated video created to accompany Andrew McCarthy’s new book “The Grand Jihad” highlights the dangers of Islamism, while explaining the history and overarching goals of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Middle East. Additionally, it alleges that the Obama administration has not adequately addressed — and has continued to ignore — the horrific potential associated with the group’s power siege.
“President Obama does not seem to see the problem,” the short film’s voice-over proclaims. ”The Obama policy of courting the Muslim Brotherhood has not changed the Brothers. It has empowered them to advance their anti-American program.”

The video then goes on to explain the radical group’s history, while exploring the breakdown of the Ottoman Empire and Sheikh Hasan Al Banna’s (an Egyptian) subsequent founding of the Brotherhood in 1928.
Al Banna, the video proclaims, hated the West, was anti-colonial, embraced Shariah law and was intent on seeing Islam dominate across national lines.
Watch the clip, below:
The description accompanying the video provides more information on McCarthy and on the Brotherhood:
The real threat to the United States is not terrorism. The real threat is the sophisticated forces of Islamism, which have collaborated with the American Left not only to undermine U.S. national security but to shred the fabric of American constitutional democracy.
In The Grand Jihad, bestselling author Andrew C. McCarthy provides a harrowing account of how the global Islamist movement’s jihad involves far more than terrorist attacks, and how it has found the ideal partner in President Barack Obama, whose Islamist sympathies run deep.
McCarthy is the former federal prosecutor who convicted the notorious “Blind Sheikh” and other jihadists for waging a terrorist war that included the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. In his national bestseller, Willful Blindness: A Memoir of the Jihad (Encounter 2008), he explored government’s conscious avoidance of the terrorist threat, which made the nation vulnerable to mass-murder attacks. In The Grand Jihad he exposes a more insidious peril: government’s active concealment of the Islamist ideology that unabashedly vows to “conquer America.” With the help of witting and unwitting accomplices in and out of government, Islamism doesn’t merely fuel terrorism but spawns America-hating Islamic enclaves in our midst and gradually foists Islam’s repressive law, sharia, on American life. The revolutionary doctrine has made common cause with an ascendant Left that also seeks radical transformation of our constitutional order. The prognosis for liberty could not be more dire.

I love this artist’s work! It really makes me think about what’s important. His paintings are always beautifully done.

Some may already be familiar with the image featured above. For those who aren’t, it is painting titled “The Forgotten Man” which features President Obama trampling on the Constitution while an astonished James Madison pleads with him to stop. To the side, a man sits on a park bench in the throes of depression while 43 presidents look on. The painting, which uses discarded dollar bills and scraps of paper with individual constitutional amendments scrawled onto them.
The Blaze first reported on artist Jon McNaughton’s controversial rendition back in 2010 when the artwork was released. Now, however, McNauughton’s Forgotten Man has resurfaced and is making its rounds across the internet again after appearing on Rachel Maddow’s blog on Thursday.
In a video that accompanied The Forgotten Man’s release, the politically charged McNaughton revealed, “For a long time I didn’t know if I wanted to paint this picture, because I worried it might be too controversial.”
He explained that the man on the park bench “represents every man, woman, and child who is an American“ and who ”hopes to find the American dream of happiness and prosperity.” The artist added, “But now because of unconstitutional acts imposed on the American people by our government we stand on the precipice of disasters.”
The artists’ work can be found at McNaughton Fine Art (though the site appeared to be down, at least temporarily on Friday evening) and on his Facebook Page. A search of McNaughton’s postings on Facebook reveal a number of paintings with strong political and religious themes including another provocative work released in October 2011 titled “Wake Up America.” The image features Obama smiling on the stump while shackled Americans gather around him. From the artist’s YouTube page:
We are enslaved to our debt. Wake up, America! Before it is too late…
Every man, woman and child in America is enslaved to the national debt. As an artist, I have painted my vision of the dire circumstances that surround us. Now, more than ever, each American must make a choice: we must unlock the shackles that enslave us, or will we lose our freedom. It is my hope and prayer that America will “wake up” before it is too late.

Record 1.2 Million People Fall Out Of Labor Force In One Month, Labor Force Participation Rate Tumbles To Fresh 30 Year Low | ZeroHedge

A month ago, we joked when we said that for Obama to get the unemployment rate to negative by election time, all he has to do is to crush the labor force participation rate to about 55%. Looks like the good folks at the BLS heard us: it appears that the people not in the labor force exploded by an unprecedented record 1.2 million. No, that’s not a typo: 1.2 million people dropped out of the labor force in one month! So as the labor force increased from 153.9 million to 154.4 million, the non institutional population increased by 242.3 million meaning, those not in the labor force surged from 86.7 million to 87.9 million. Which means that the civilian labor force tumbled to a fresh 30 year low of 63.7% as the BLS is seriously planning on eliminating nearly half of the available labor pool from the unemployment calculation. As for the quality of jobs, as withholding taxes roll over Year over year, it can only mean that the US is replacing high paying FIRE jobs with low paying construction and manufacturing. So much for the improvement.
Chart below shows it all – that jump is not a fat finger!
And Labor Force Participation:
This is the largest absolute jump in ‘Persons Not In Labor Force’ on record…and biggest percentage jump in 30 years.

Weasel Zippers » GOP Rep. Phil Gingrey Walked Out On Obama’s National Prayer Breakfast Speech, “Offended By His Use of Prayer And Reflection For Partisan Politics And Class Warfare”…
When I heard just the clips of President Obama from the Prayer Breakfast Speech, I wondered if anyone had the guts to walk out. I knew that just from what I had heard, I definitely would have walked out. Bravo to GOP Rep. Phil Gingrey for having the courage and strength of his convictions and actually walking out. Thank you Sir!
(The Hill) — Republican Rep. Phil Gingrey (Ga.) walked out of President Obama’s speech at the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, his spokeswoman confirmed to The Hill.
Jen Talaber said the five-term lawmaker “left quietly” in the middle of the president’s remarks.
“He was disturbed and offended by the president’s use of prayer and reflection time for partisan politics and class warfare,” Talaber said. “Rep. Gingrey enjoyed listening to the keynote speaker and found the breakfast to be inspiring until President Obama began politicking.”
At the breakfast, Obama tried to tie some of the proposals from his State of the Union address, such as everyone paying their fair share in taxes, to Biblical teachings.
“When I talk about our financial institutions playing by the same rules as folks on Main Street, when I talk about making sure insurance companies aren’t discriminating against those who are already sick, or making sure that unscrupulous lenders aren’t taking advantage of the most vulnerable among us, I do so because I genuinely believe it’ll make the economy stronger for everybody,” Obama said. “But I also do it because I know that far too many neighbors in our country have been hurt and treated unfairly over the last few years, and I believe in God’s command to love thy neighbor as thyself.”
Talaber said Gingrey listened to several minutes of the speech before he “slipped out” because he found the perceived politicking “inappropriate.”
“There are 364 other days a year in which to do that,” she said. “While he commends the president for his attendance, Rep. Gingrey wanted to hear what was in his heart and not campaign rhetoric. He was disappointed that the president seemed to be unaware of the reason so many gathered there today.”
The Military Is Now Telling Catholic Chaplains What They Can And Cant Say About The Obama Administration
The Military Is Now Telling Catholic Chaplains What They Can And Cant Say About The Obama Administration
From Business Insider:
The emerging conflict between the Catholic Church and the Obama administration may have a new front: in the U.S. military itself.
The Catholic Church is fighting mad about an HHS ruling that would have them buy insurance for things they consider sinful–contraception, sterilization and abortion.
All the bishops in the country sent out a letter to be read in their parishes promising that the Church “cannot-and will not-comply with this unjust law.”
Even Archbishop Timothy Broglio, who is in charge of Catholic military chaplains sent out the same letter.
But after he did, the Army’s Office of the Chief of Chaplains sent out another communication forbidding Catholic priests to read the letter, in part because it seemed to encourage civil disobedience, and could be read as seditious against the Commander-in-Chief.
More than one Catholic chaplain who spoke to us off the record confirmed that many chaplains disobeyed this instruction and read the letter anyway. Others sought further instructions from their Archbishop.
Now after much behind-the-scenes bureaucratic wrangling, a new version of the letter will be read, one that was edited of the language about “unjust laws.”
A new statement issued this afternoon from Archbishop Broglio’s office acknowledged the interference this way:
Archbishop Broglio and the Archdiocese stand firm in the belief, based on legal precedent, that such a directive from the Army constituted a violation of his Constitutionally-protected right of free speech and the free exercise of religion, as well as those same rights of all military chaplains and their congregants.
Following a discussion between Archbishop Broglio and the Secretary of the Army, The Honorable John McHugh, it was agreed that it was a mistake to stop the reading of the Archbishop’s letter. Additionally, the line: “We cannot-we will not-comply with this unjust law” was removed by Archbishop Broglio at the suggestion of Secretary McHugh over the concern that it could potentially be misunderstood as a call to civil disobedience.
It’s an issue that Catholic chaplains are taking very seriously in private. We obtained a confidential letter sent to the chaplains that prepares priests to contact the Military Archdiocesan lawyer in case of more interference or any punishment.
The Archdiocese believes that any attempt to keep a chaplain from freely teaching and preaching the Catholic faith, for which you were endorsed, is a violation of the First Amendment of the Constitution. If any of you are in any way punished or slated for punitive action, I ask that you kindly call our Archdiocesan Attorney, John L. Schlageter, Esq. at 202-719-3635 and he will immediately place you into contact with a Religious Freedom Law Firm that will be most willing to take your case free of charge.
The letter also tries to clarify to priests that the Archbishop’s letter “concerns a moral, not a political issue.”
While it is true that soldiers do not have an unlimited right to free speech or political action, the military does not want to strain relations with the Catholic Church and its chaplains who provide services to many service members of all faiths.

BRITISH COLUMNIST STUNNED: OBAMA‘S SOTU OUTLINED IDEAS ’BASED ON THE VERY MODEL THAT IS CAUSING THE EU TO IMPLODE’
Posted on January 30, 2012 at 11:54am by
Christopher Santarelli
The President once introduced himself to a crowd in Berlin in 2008 as a “fellow citizen of the world.” Now some European commentators from across the pond are speaking out, dumbfounded by the direction that President Barack Obama is taking the United States.
Janet Daley wrote a blistering column for The Daily Telegraph over the weekend entitled “Barack Obama is trying to make the US a more socialist state.” In the piece, Daley writes that the days of the world looking to the United States for leadership are over:
“Barack Obama is now putting the United States squarely a decade behind Britain. Listening to the President’s State of the Union message last week was like a surreal visit to our own recent past: there were, almost word for word, all those interminable Gordon Brown Budgets that preached ‘fairness’ while listing endless new ways in which central government would intervene in every form of economic activity.
Later, in a television interview, Mr Obama described his programme of using higher taxes on the wealthy to bankroll new government spending as ‘a recipe for a fair, sound approach to deficit reduction and rebuilding this country.’ To which we who come from the future can only shout, ‘No‑o-o, go back! Don’t come down this road!’”
Daley goes on to criticize the President’s “childlike conception of fairness,” pointing out that when you breakdown the redistribution of wealth from entrepreneurial activity to public spending, the effects are much more complex and perverse than the President would suggest:
“There is, it turns out, a huge difference between being provided with a livelihood and feeling that you have earned it. The assumption that all the wealth that individuals create belongs, by moral right, to the state, to spend on benefits or phoney job creation schemes (sorry, public infrastructure projects), is proving phenomenally difficult to expunge in Britain, so ineradicably has it embedded itself in the public consciousness.
In the US, it has had only odd historical moments of favour (Roosevelt’s New Deal, Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society”), which have been beaten back consistently by the dynamism of a country that sees its existential purpose as being to foster and promote individual achievement and self-belief. It is bizarre that Obama should be regarded (or should regard himself) as a kind-of European who is trying to bring a sophisticated kind-of socialism to American economic life, complete with government-run health care and “fair” (high) taxes on the wealthy. If his European credentials were up to date, he would know that this was precisely the social model that is causing the EU to implode, and whose hopeless contradictions the best economic minds on the Continent are attempting, unsuccessfully, to resolve.”
Daley was born in America but has lived in Britain since 1965. It should be noted that The Telegraph’s political editor has described the paper being “right of center” on the political spectrum.
After describing the President’s attachment to the “left-liberal dream, which still survives in small pockets of American life,” Daley concludes that if the United States ceases to stand by its constitution and political institutions specifically designed to prevent the government from oppressing the rights of the individual citizen, it will make a stupid mistake and “suffer a catastrophic loss of purpose and identity.”

Wow. I really like this guy. He loves our country and understands its values. He truly understands what the Founding Fathers were doing when they first signed the Declaration of Independence and then our Constitution. He explains his positions in a way even I can understand. I just get a good feeling about him. He believes in America and understands our history. He really understands the issues with the middle east. I really enjoyed reading this editorial written by Rick Santorum. I think I like this guy more now than I did before.
I decided early on in this election process that I wasn’t going to cast my vote for whoever looked most like they could beat President Obama. I felt that if I truly wanted God to intervene, I needed to vote with my heart. We have to have faith that even though the person we choose to vote for isn’t the front-runner, if we stay firm in our values and what we want for this country, God will intervene. Through Him all things are possible. He’s (God) certainly more powerful than any GOP establishment. We have to put our faith in Him and he will guide our country to the right leader, whoever it might be. I feel it could be Rick Santorum, you might feel it’s someone else. Either way, just vote with your values and principles and put faith in God to help our country. That’s the only way we can get real change we can believe in.
Please read the following article and see if you might feel the same way.

No More Leading from Behind for America
By Rick Santorum
My passion for protecting and preserving freedom is a gift that comes to me from my grandfather, an immigrant who brought my father to this country and whose well-weathered hands mined coal in Southwestern Pennsylvania until he was 72. He left the totalitarian regime of Mussolini’s Italy to bring his family to freedom.
He worked hard and committed himself to creating a better life for his children and grandchildren. He taught me how to treasure the gift of freedom, to have faith in God’s grace, to achieve what American liberty offers to those who work hard and to love and support a family. The Pennsylvania town my grandfather called home is just a few miles down the road from the field where Flight 93 crashed on that beautiful, blue-sky September day; a day when radical jihadists declared war on America, in America, on our own soil. The passengers and crew bravely stood up for freedom.

I knew I liked her! I’ve always liked Michelle Malkin’s Blog, but now I know there’s even more there for me to like. She explains why she’s for Rick Santorum. Her reasons are the same as mine. She lists both the good and the bad about Rick and then she gives details about Gingrich, Romney and Paul. She puts into words the things I wish I knew how to say.
I know that Rick Santorum has not flip-flopped on issues and that he values the same things I do. Although he’s not perfect (And who is?), he is an honest and honorable man. I feel good about him as my choice. Even if people choose to believe my vote for former Senator Santorum is a wasted vote, I still choose him as the best choice we have now.
Read Michelle’s blog post below:
He didn’t cave when Chicken Littles in Washington invoked a manufactured crisis in 2008. He didn’t follow the pro-bailout GOP crowd — including Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich — and he didn’t have to obfuscate or rationalize his position then or now, like Rick Perry and Herman Cain did. He also opposed the auto bailout, Freddie and Fannie bailout, and porkulus bills.
Santorum opposed individual health care mandates — clearly and forcefully — as far back as his 1994 U.S. Senate run. He has launched the most cogent, forceful fusillade against both Romney and Gingrich for their muddied, pro-individual health care mandate waters.
He voted against cap and trade in 2003, voted yes to drilling in ANWR, and unlike Romney and Gingrich, Santorum has never dabbled with eco-radicals like John Holdren, Al Gore and Nancy Pelosi. He hasn’t written any“Contracts with the Earth.”

Justice Department | Eric Holder | When Did He Know | The Daily Caller
This reminds me of President Clinton answering a question by saying, “It depends on what the definition of ‘is’ is.” I think Mr. Holder is not sure what the definition of the word lie is. I also notice that just like the lawyers they are, no one will give a straight answer. If he wasn’t told and didn’t know about what had happened, the answer is easy. Just say NO. All of this word play just makes him look more guilty. What do you think? Read the article from The Daily Caller below:
DOJ dodges, won’t say if Holder knew ‘Fast and Furious’ gun killed border guard
By Matthew Boyle – The Daily Caller Published: 1:12 AM 01/30/2012 | Updated: 12:58 PM 01/30/2012
The documents sent from the DOJ to congressional officials Friday night included a series of emails between former Arizona U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke and Holder’s then-deputy chief of staff Monty Wilkinson. Those emails show Wilkinson, a senior Holder aide, knew on December 15, 2010 — the day Terry was killed – that the weapons used to murder him were provided to a Mexican gang by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
On that day, records show, Burke wrote to Wilkinson that “[t]he guns found in the desert near the murder[ed] BP officer connect back to the investigation we were going to talk about – they were AK-47s purchased at a Phoenix gun store.”
The emails also show that Wilkinson “alerted” Holder of Terry’s death on that day. They do not, however, show whether he told Holder that Operation Fast and Furious had provided Terry’s killer with the means to murder him.
Reached by The Daily Caller on Sunday, DOJ spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler would not give a yes-or-no answer to the question of whether Wilkinson told Holder, his superior, about the connection between the gunwalking scheme and Terry’s murder.
Instead, Schmaler pointed to a letter Assistant Attorney General Ronald Weich sent to Congress Friday with the documents. In that letter, Weich wrote only that Wilkinson “does not recall” whether or not he informed Holder. Weich added that the DOJ has been “advised” that Burke similarly has “no recollection” of discussing these details with Wilkinson in the first place.
Over the course of an email conversation Sunday lasting more than two hours, Schmaler declined to answer whether Holder was informed. She did, however, agree that it’s “absolutely not unreasonable to ask” that question of Holder.
Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley, who has led the congressional investigation into Operation Fast and Furious along with House oversight committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa, said in a tweet Saturday that the documents DOJ released Friday “clearly show Holder[‘]s people knew” about the gunwalking initiative before Grassley opened his investigation – and that the DOJ “lied” to Congress.
